I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and have always wanted to meet up with some fellow G35 owners and share some ideas (and drink some brews). I'll be unavailable for the next two weeks however. Weekends are better than evenings for me, unless anybody feels like driving down to the Springs for an evening. It also might be better to do one of these meets in the summer so we can plan a drive (hopefully without the falling rocks). I'm at Peterson AFB if the guy who said he was going to be stationed up here has any questions.

Hello!
Just recently registered to this site, as I bought my 06 last Wednesday.

I'm in Englewood.

Here goes....
Post your screen name and part of town you live in. After we get a list going we can pick a location that is cental to the people attending. I personally would prefer to do this meet after the new year.

1. JL9618, Highlands Ranch
2.

"Very true, I noticed that about a fella always leaving boulder wiht a silver one thinking he was bad A$$ sh*t. I ad a rental and was visiting at the time. I saw him a couple times, and he is the type to catch up to you, watch you until you acknowledge him, then speed off. Not like our car really has any bragging power and speed in stock form. Can't wait to se him again..... "

hmmm
maybe that A$$ sh*t is me..
I drive the silver one...and used to exit to boulder everyday...
there was one other time I saw 6mt silver with spoiler but other than that..it's really rare to spot silver g35c 6mt in the morning time except for my car. If i did anything to you I am sorry but I get very nervous when someone follows me around in the freeway.

Haha nooo it wasn't you. This one did have a spoiler, also wasn't being followed, he is one of those that speeds up to you then keeps looking over until you acknowledge him then takes off. Saw him riding a Mustangs A$$ just because it was a Mustang, went totally out of his way to catch up to him. I wasn't in my G, had a Mazda rental??? Wheres the fame in acting an A$$ and trying to race a rental? This was in the early evenings also leaving Boulder, not going towards.

"maybe just between 2 drivers and talk about long term experience/issues/comments or maybe even test drive each other cars to compare engine/transmission etc. Mine is 05 6MT by the way so if anyone is interested let me know..."

I have 56000 miles on my car. I can tell you some of the stuff I went through.

First I got new Transmission due to the grinding issues on 3rd and 5th gear. Dealer replaced it after 2 years of my complaining. I got mine March of 03. It started to grind around 10k miles. I went to the Infiniti of Denver and told the tech, "my car grinds at 3rd and 5th, don't you guys get this a lot?"
I would tell them that everytime I go there. It took them 2 years to catch up with the problem.

Second, I get this annoying sound on the passenger seat. It sounds like plastic is flapping and then hitting something. It is really annoying when nobody is sitting on the seat. I went to the dealer to fix but they made it even worse.

Third, Brembos wear out fast. Well not as fast as automatic ones but man the pad lasted me 40k with no pad life left in the OEM pads. I still need to replace rotors.

Fourth, Window streak never go away. I fixed it 3 times and there is still grease. Maybe the dealer couldn't fix it.

Fifth, at 49k one day my window decided not to go up. The window motor broke and needed to replace (driver side)

Sixth, Clinking sound at the rear whenever I initiate car in 1st gear or on bumps. That was fixed by dealers.

Seventh, Tires argh... only last me 24000 average.

Eighth, Driver seat bolster is wore out. Maybe I drive it too much

These are problems I can only think of now.
The engine is strong and it still feels very good. I bet these problems are on early models since I have those early built one.

Do you still take your car there??? I went there a few times when they were the only dealer in the Denver Metro area but they had horrible service in all regards. It was like talking to a brick wall with those guys.

Anyhoooo, Peak Infiniti on Wadsworth in Littleton has been pretty good to me. They are a new dealership so you know they are craving for the service work.

I took my car over there mid October because my window motor was burnt out. And then I took it again because my clutch started to squeak, that's when I had my transmission replaced.
I never take my car to dealers, I do most of the basic maintenance at home.

And I am just afraid to go to Peak Infiniti because I met the Parts GM and I don't really like the guy. Not like I am going to buy any parts from them anyways. They will rip me off another butt hole.

IMO no dealer is better than other. I don't trust any of them... trust no one with your car...no one

Time to revive this thread???

There are more Colorado drivers out there. I'm one. Not many people check the regional boards. I will be at the La Junta event in February. If you see me on the street, Pearl White G35C License GGGGONE, just honk or wave, I am sorta friendly, depending on the day.

I attend most of the SCCA autocross events. I have never seen another coupe in two years of events. Come on out and give me some competition.
