New G35 6MT Owner Here

Just joined the boards tonight. Got my G coming of the train soon in Tacoma, WA. Well not as soon as I would like. July 20th or so. Ughhhh!

It's gonna be a long month.

Here is what I got:
'06 Coupe 6MT, Black Obsidian with Graphite Leather, Premium Package, Aero, Rear Active Steer, Nav, Splash Guards. Had to do a lot of work with a lot of dealers to get the one I wanted.

Anyhow, I hope to learn a lot here from the G vets. First things first. I need a few basic performance upgrades. Seems like the z-tube should be first.

Gonna do more research first. Anyways, glad I found this board.

Ha.

I could have ordered my car and only paid $500 over dealer invoice if I was willing to wait until the end of August or September. To hell with that!!!

I ended up paying $1400 over dealer invoice (not MSRP)and a free car cover. That's about a 4.5% profit for the dealership. I gave up the rear active steer that I wanted for one with the Aero and Nav. I contacted 15 dealers in the western US, only 4 had the car. Several more said they could get it.

It seems the Black/Graphite 6MT is difficult to come by. Most the dealerships I talked to wanted OVER the MSRP for it. Got the best deal 350 miles from my home so I get to go for a nice long drive after delivery.

It's gonna be the longest month+ of my life!!

When did you buy it (or reserve it or whatever)? I was going to get that exact setup and it was on a train also . (Kirkland) Saturday it was still available, but by Wednesday it was gone...I wonder if that's the one you got . I ended up with Platinum Graphite, which is also pretty sweet (alternative was waiting 100 days for one to be built).
