I got a G35 yesterday!

2003, loaded, silver w/ tinted windows, Stillen (sp?) exhaust and intake put on by previous owner who used it mostly for business and has been very well maintained.

Got in on Monday and it's an awesome ride!

Now, with my mom owning a CTS, me owning a G35 (I paid for it on my own - no, I'm not one of those rich kids who gets any car they want at their parents expense), and my dad owning a Mazda6, our family has the coolest damn cars in their class.

Hey, got any suggestions on parts and brands for performance - basics, nothing real spendy (basic suspension and engine mods)

Haha, well, here's the story.. mom needed a new car because her car was about to go... so, we put in for a $20K loan at BECU... a day later... Sorry, no $20K loan... but we did get a $60K loan... LOL

So, we bought the CTS after I managed to get them to at least look at it (I love Caddy's) and they fell in love w/ it. Not even a month later, dad's car stopped working (heh, talk about car trouble, huh?) so we had to rush in to get a new car. We pulled out another loan and grabbed up a Mazda6.

Well, then my car started acting up, and we had a tune-up done. No problems, but I was thinkin I wanted a new car anyway. My friend then tells me he needs some help finding a car, askin me about a few he saw. "Nope" - all were crappy cars - GM vehicles with the 3400 V6 (BAAAAAD engine), Neon (car makes more trips to the dealer for problems than any Jag or Mercedes or Ford you'll ever see), etc. So, he decides to buy my car. I had my eye on this G35 for the past few days, so he bought my car, and I went and bought the G35 ($3K down from my sell plus loan...)

None the less, the Mazda6 is a HUGE upgrade from the car is replaces - a 1994 Civic DX (completely strip - hell, no A/C even) hatchback.

Oh, hey, what is this "VDC" mean? Is that like Traction/Stability control on/off button or what? (Sorry, I would look in the manual - if I had one. Apparently the old owner was oh so inclined to keep it... lol)

If you drive hard on corners, keep the VDC off because you'll find it kind of annoying. But it comes on automatically during hard braking, which kinda bothers me because it feels like the car is telling you that you can't drive sh*t. hehe, cars nowadays!

Don't you think the CTS is a little bit too much for your mom? Hehe joking...
Anyway, I think your dad really loves your mom then.
Good thing you're not one of those rich kids who can get anything they want from their folks heehee.

Hotchkis sways are a great first mod. One of the best bang for your buck suspension upgrades.
