Hey guys, I'm Travis (as the name implies). My dad is picking up a new Cadillac XLR in a few days and is passing on the G35 to me. I'm not quite sure how this forum responds to what some may think of as spoiled rich kids (even though I'm not one of them), but it's all good. I'll probably spend most of my time here in the Off Topic area since those tend to be the most interesting - where people's personalities stand out.
I'm not too big on modifying (cash doesnt allow it), but I am seriously considering doing something about the brakes. It's an 03 sedan with the sport package, and since the first week, the brakes have been squeeky as hell. Along with that, the pads tend to run out very fast (my dad has had to replace them a bunch), not to mention the brake dust constantly being caked over the front wheels. So, what's the best remedy for this? Also, how well does the car respond to a low dosage of nitrous? It's not something I'd do immediately, but since cost prohibits a supercharger, nitrous would be fun on occaision and on the track.

'Grats, Travis, I'm sure you've earned the new ride, no worries, and welcome to G35Driver.
Talk to the dealer about the new compound (harder) pads for the G. They'll last longer and dust less.
G/L and post up pics of her.
