From a VW Jetta to a G35
I graduated from college (BSCS, Santa Clara University), got a full-time job (as opposed to a contract) doing what I love the most (hacking UNIX and Perl) and decided to reward myself, by going from a 2001 VW Jetta 2.0 (with a few basic mods) to a 2006 Infiniti G35 sedan (see sig). I've picked up the G35 on Sunday, the Jetta is leaving (to a VW enthusiast, who will enjoy it) on Wednesday.
I've been following the G35 ever since it came out and have been waiting for an opportunity when I wouldn't feel guilty about buying it. That opportunity came. A photoshoot is coming soon (I've got a Nikon D50 digital SLR) :-)
The move from 4-banger/FWD to VQ35DE/RWD is bound to be exciting. Any other former VW owners/enthusiasts on this board?

Thanks all. While the Jetta is a completely different class of car (although, if you know a good mechanic who specializes in German car, it's a pretty good deal for its class) and this is quite an upgrade for me (one I was very glad to have undertaken!).
I am looking forward to attending Bay Area events, looks like the Norcal regional forum is fairly active.
