New '06 G35 Sedan 6MT Owner

Picked this baby up from the dealer in Nashville (I'm in Memphis). When I arrived, the car was ready to go, except that it had the standard wheels (17s). I said "Hey, this is a stick, isn't it? Then where are the Sport wheels?" They fumbled around a bit and discovered that someone had swapped out the wheels. The maintenance guys were all gone by that point, so I took a loaner home to Memphis (Automatic, yuck) and they delivered mine to my house.

So far, I'm loving it. I really like the Serengeti Sand color, though I wasn't interested in it at first. Didn't have much choice, as '06 6MTs are hard to come by at this point. I'm still not crazy about the two-tone interior (brown and beige), but I can certainly live with it for the price I paid.

Your wheels were switched?? That is messed up man - good catch though. Once you drove off the lot - that would be pretty much it.

I gotta question for you - I bought my 06 not too long ago - but did yours come with aluminum pedals?? I think it is suppose too - but I might be wrong. It might just be the coupe that gets the aluminum pedals?

How good of deal did you pull off anyways?

Yeah, I honestly don't believe they were trying to take me for a ride on the wheels-- someone had swapped them for a special order and didn't document it in their system.

I had the same question about the pedals-- apparently only the coupe gets aluminum pedals, according to the ordering manual I looked at at the dealership. Oh well.

I leased this one for $396/month including tax, 15k miles/year, nothing out of pocket. I traded in an '03 Passat, which covered first payment and all the up front stuff (~$1500 trade in on the Passat, after payoff).
