I know for sure that you should be posting in the classified threads, but how does a person buy or sell from another person within forums? Whats the procedure? Do people ever get ripped-off? Or is it a safe transaction? Or is it all about trusting someone within the forum to go through the deal? I apologize for the ten million questions. I guess i'm still new to the forums, as well as to the G35.

 

you can send them emails or private messages for something you want.
you can message either vendors or members this way.
usually you use paypal with private sellers which is probably the best.
you can call vendors and place orders by phone using credit card in addition to paypal, etc. whatever they accept.
it is pretty safe as long as the member has a good rep and others can vouch for them.
it's usually not safe to purchase from someone who doesn't have many posts or doesn't know anyone with a good rep to vouch.
people get ripped off sometimes. it happens, just like on ebay.
safest way to go is buying from vendors whom others have purchased from and had good results.
search around and welcome.

 

Thanks for the quick respond. I was asking due to the fact that i've been reading some posts through out this forum and seen many many great deals on parts/items. The problem is, most of it is from cali or out in west. I'm stuck here in Maryland. I was thinking...even if i did send some money to a legit address and seller/buyer, and the person fails to come through...it wouldn't be easy flying over to the west and personally judo-chop that seller/buyer or anything of that nature.
