new member introducing self
Hello to everyone. Just registered on this forum, and wanted to introduce myself. I was stuck between an M3 (E46) and a G35, and decided to go G35 coupe (after test driving one, i was blown away). As soon as I finish RN school, I'll sign the papers on my G35. Currently I drive a 2006 Titan w/ an 8" lift, 20" rims and 35" tires, and thought it would be appropriate to compliment my truck w/ another Nissan.
Just one real quick (possibly stupid) question: I've seen the turbokits available, and I've decided to go w/ either the JWT or Greddy TT kit w/ UTEC fuel controller up front, then save up the rest to build the bottom end. My concern is that it's listed for a 2003-2004, and if I get an 05 or a new one, would the system still work on something newer than an 04? Personally, I'd be happy w/ 340-380rwhp, but I also don't want to take chances.
Secondly, I've seen a lot of G35 coupes listed around 28K (give or take 2K) with around 35K miles...while it comes to roughly 12-13K a year (these are 04s), would the mileage be considered 'too high' for a car that will soon be TT? I searched, and the consensus seems to be 'no', provided the correct tuning and install was provided, but I also want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.
Thanks for having me, and l look forward to meeting you all (and showing off my car once I get it). Thanks in advance for all the help
JOHN
