Looking to buy a 07 G35 in a few months..........few questions
I live in Toronto, we get about 3-4 storms a year other than that weather is good with a few rainy days. Would getting a G35S with some tough winter tires do the job in wet or snowy conditions or should i just get the AWD
Color: It's either slate or onyx (Just awesome colors)
I don't know why you can't get the Tech package with the wood trim option, i love how the germans do it, you can customize your vehicle to your needs. You can pick any option you want without restrictions
Any suggestions??????
p.s. i don't think i'm going to lower it, the rims seem decent on the sport model

I guess that depends on how bad you want the features that come with the Sport model. If you really want the 18" wheels, sport seats, paddle shifters, VSLD, side sills, aluminum pedals, etc then just stick four good snow tires on it and you'll be fine. I get similiar weather to yours and had no problem going with the Sport model. Tires make all the difference.

I've never used paddle shifters, how are they on the G and how frequently do you use them???? Do they turn with the wheel like in the M5????
Did you get the 6-Disc cd changer with mp3 with your sport model, on the site it says it's not available with the sport???? Maybe you can get that as a accessory.

If i wasn't getting the sport model, i would get the lakeshore sate with wheat leather and the trim wood, that would be a nice combination more on the luxury side.

its all good brother...youll be pleased with which ever set up you decide to go with i am sure. Its really a win win situation with this car. A base G with no packages is still IMO better than most of the competition.

With the Sport model in Canada, you automatically get the Premium package. With the Premium package, you get the Studio on Wheels, Music Box, single in-dash CD player, and the 6 CD Changer is moved to the trunk. The trunk mounted CD Changer does not play MP3 CDs, however I have had my G for 7 months now and I have used the CD Changer once. I hope this helps.
I have a 2007 G35x AWD. I live in Chicago and it snows several times each winter. I had a G35 Coupe before this, with winter wheels and tires, and it was okay at best. I certainly wouldn't say you will be "all good". Driving a 306hp rear wheel drive car in the snow is aweful, especially if there is more then an inch of snow on the ground. I would choose wisely if I were you.

I stuck with the X, but I've seen quite a few S's driving around Toronto in the winter and summer, so if you just slap on a few winter tires you should be fine (but make sure you get expensive ones)
