Super Noob. Need Guidance.HELP!

Hey, How you doin Guys? After watching this forum for almost a year, i finally bought a brand new G35x. I am loving the car, and so is everyone else around me. Its safe to say i have the flyest ride out of all my friends. I just recently upgraded from my 1999 FORD WINDSTAR minivan....lol, i was going to get a used coupe, but i felt like over-compensating for the minivan era. so i got a pretty reasonable deal on the car and went for it.

I have a couple of questions for you guys!

I have never owned a brand new car before so i dont really know how its supossed to ride. My parents have BMW and a Mercedez, and their cars dont give any rattles or vibrations from the acceleration. hell not even my 95 galant or the dead windstar gave any vibrations or rattles.

But my G is only 4 days old and i am feeling significant rattles and vibration from the accelerations, i literlly feel ever rock and bump on the road.

So the question is, Is that a problem? or is it a some kinda sports sedan thing i dont know about yet.?

be kind i am a noob.

Hey there, welcome to the threads. G35's have inherent rattles that many people, including myself are experiencing or have had. First, please be more specific to what kind of rattle you hear? Where is it located? How does the sound compare? When does it happen (hot day, cold day, amount of mileage you have)? Once you get this info, do a search in the threads for "car rattle, shake, etc." (you know, kinda like Google style) It could also be your engine breakin period, are you over 3000 miles? Again, as with any car that has a warranty, you should use it, and go back to your dealership to point out the noise. Beware of BS answers, use common sense, and don't accept their explanations if the problems still occurs after they say they fix it. Good luck and enjoy the G. Peace...

BTW - the pics look great

CONGRATS! Although I don't know how you'll ever pick-up chicks in a little car after riding in that phat minivan! lol! I don't have a lot of rattles in my car (knock on wood) but I definitely feel a lot of the road in this car. My wife has a 325 and it's much more of a luxury ride. However, that's what I love about my G - being able to feel the road. It's much more of a sports car. I've seen a lot of people talk about air pressure around here. It may be that your dealer inflated your tires to the max, so you could check that. Maybe dropping a few psi will give you a spongier feel. It will decrease the life of your tires but if it rides better, that's the way to roll. Literally. ;-)

No rattles yet in my G35 Sport with just 300 miles on it. I've noticed that most who complain about rattles own a G 35 with a build date before January. A look at Infiniti TSBs on many forums confirms this.

But yes, road noise is part of the G experience. But I should add that it's noise, not necessarily a rough ride. In fact, I've noticed that the stiff suspension (and even stiffer in the sport model) handles road irregularities very smooothly with little cabin movement or loss of tire grip.

And do check the tire pressure. On the G I demoed over a weekend in May the tire pressure was nearly 40 PSI on the dealer's lot. And on my new G the tire pressure was 37 PSI before I adjusted to 33 PSI in the front and 35 PSI in the rear. The manual and information tag on tire pressure call for 33 PSI all around.

Pics are real nice. Is that a Lakeshore Slate? It looks more like a royal blue rather than the paler color I've seen on the road. Or perhaps your camera emphasizes the blue range.
