I just got the call from the dealer. I put my order in Aug. 1 and it just now arrived in Kansas City.

I'm busy with work today, but I'm scheduled to pick it up tomorrow at 6pm.

Well, I custom ordered it from the only Infiniti dealer within 200 miles, and did so on July 30th before the MSRP had even been released on the 2008's and they were just starting to build 2008's vs. 2007's. I negotiated to $1,500 under MSRP + the $199 processing fee.

Final price OTD ended up being:

$34,564.00

then plus Johnson County, KS tax

I'm pretty happy with it, but jealous of the SoCal guys that can walk into 1 of 20 dealers and find a silver 6mt car and walk out $500 over invoice

im trying to get a 08 journey model with sports and premium for 35400 and the guy wont accept.

im actually looking into going out of town to see a 07 journey with nav and premium...on sale for 34300 which is 100 bucks over invoice. which means i might be to get it cheaper. So i gotta think if the 1500 difference is worth paying for the sports package on the 08

Yea, I was extremely picky on exactly what I wanted. It had to be exactly as I ordered it... not something 'close' on the lot or a few cities away.

I'd negotiate the best deal you can, but also buy exactly what you want. When you're spending $30k+ on a car, you shouldn't settle on something you're not 100% happy with.

yea i been picky with color so far. I gave up on the 6mt for auto. Which i put lots of thought into. too bad the 07s didnt have a sports package option. The sports model is hard to find so far for 07s
