New owner tire pressure check
New owner tire pressure check
Folks, just want to suggest checking your tire pressures after you've gotten your new baby home from the dealer and waited at least 3 hours for the tires to cool down. I didn't get around to it 'til today. Because of recent back surgery, it's hard for me to get down to check tire pressures. Anyway, I did, and found that 3 out of the 4 tires had 35 pounds of air pressure, while the right fron tire had 45 pounds.
I think I know what happened. Many manufacturers ship their new cars with high pressure in the tires. Then, during prep, their supposed to bleed them to spec. (Spec is 33 pounds, but 35 is fine.) Apparently, whoever did it missed one tire. I'm noticing that the car seems to handle a bit better now.

Yes, all new owners should check tire pressure before driving off the lot. My G was at 40 lbs psi. Even the test drive car I used over a weekend turned out to be overinflated, the same 40 lbs PSI.
