First Infiniti - G35 Sedan (2007)

Picked up my new car (Laskeshore Slate Metallic-B30). Picked it up at 10am, Installed Tint at 11 am(In Arizona Tint is a must), such an exciting day ! The process of buying this work of art has been a blast. At first I was considering three candidates in this particular order 1) Lexus IS 350, 2) Infinity G35, and 3) Acura TL. BMW 32x was scratched early....the Germans are very proud of their cars ($$$)

Anyway the Acura TL eliminated due to its "composed and sturdy" feel and reputation. Great car but not what I was wanting...speed, torque and luxury was my desire. If I wanted value and comfortable shoes I would have purchased an Accord or a Camry, great reliable cars....

So it was down to the IS 350 and G35. Both great cars and different personalitys. IS 350 was the very pretty girl who could cook and clean but would prefer wine and french food over a fine steak and cold beer. A fine mate that was full of class and any one would be proud to go on a date with. The G35 was a different type of mate; the G35 was reliable and consistent and would love to try new things and with beauty that did not require much makeup but was willing to take a chance and enjoy change. The fact that the G35 could prepare a fine dinner or simply a BBQ out back was very attractive as well.

I decided on the G35....Sorry about the anology but that is how I think. Only time will tell about whether I made the right choice but here it is over 12 hours from my purchase and no buyers remorse....quite unusual for me. In fact Im so excited to drive it to work tomorrow I plan on waking up early and take the long way to work !!!

I feel good about my choice and can't wait to hit the road ! Man there are some good cars out there !

Congrats on the purchase!!

P.S. I was looking at the IS as well, but I ended up going with the G because the IS was a much smaller car (with less interior space).

Searched on Autotrader.Com and purchased it from a non-infiniti dealer, Tempe Lincoln Mercury. The funny thing is that this area of the dealership happens to be managed by a friend who is in the Mens Golf Club im part of. Strictly a coincidence. So all in all it was a pleasant experience.

Went to Scottsdale Infiniti today to pick up my new floor mats but I will probably be going to Superstition Infinity for regular service (much closer to my Gilbert home)

Nice write-up, very poetic. Congrats! What tranny/options did you get?

G35 sounds like a redneck big breasted young chick and IS350 sounds like a Harvard graduate student.

Thanks. If Hemmingway or Pushkin drove a current car it would be G35!

My G35 is AT with "standard" features....Non Nav.

Sorry, but pretty sure if Hemingway drove a current car it would be the original Hummer, or possibly a Land Rover. Something that could get hit with an elephant gun and drive away
