I got mine on Saturday and ended up driving over 200 miles. 45 to Cypress, Woodlands, Downtown, Woodlands, Cypress...fun.

Where did you guys get the clear bra? I was given a card for a guy who does it off Hollow Tree. I was told it was $695+tax which seems high so I'm shopping around a bit.

Nice! I found some pretty good streets to drive up around 290 and Fry - there's a neighborhood going up, but only streets there for now

I recently got my tint done at formula one on westheimer and he said it would cost around 400 for the clear bra. His phone is 7135322299/houstontint.com

I got mine done by Cleartechpro. Boss' name is Steve Perez. I paid $495, including tax. Very nice work. Very professional. They work inside Driver's Source, a company that sells used SUPER fancy cars. So they do a lot of SUPER high end cars. Took them about 2.5 hours. Other places told me I had to leave my car for the day. I waited in the waiting room, which has a big ol' HDTV w/ Direct TV and a bar full of drinks! Also got my tint done for $150. Guy who does tint is J.P.

Here's a link to their site:

Thanks Blue! That is probably the most convenient place ever for me, too - considering it is under a mile from where I work.

I will also check on the Cleartechpro place. That wouldn't be too far out of my way on my drive home from work.

And popcorn - there are some good places to drive off of 290 (when it isn't rush hour). I was driving on some back roads on Sunday and thinking to myself "I wish I could go faster" at the same time my daughter asks "Daddy, why are these people driving so SLOW?! I want to go faster and have some fun!" She's definitely her father's daughter.

I called up Formula One and they quoted me $649. One of my employees got his truck done at Clear Tech and had great things to say about them, too, so I'm going to have it done there on Tuesday. Hopefully nothing happens on my trip to New Braunfels this weekend!

Thanks for the advice!

I'll let you know in 8 years.

My SUV is 7 years old and the truck I had before that was 10 years old so I know how the "8 year average" thing goes!

Sorry, this is the first time I've had clearbra installed on any of my cars. I used to have headlight protectors on my TT, which was a slightly different material. I have noticed that the some bug splatters yellowed the clearbra. I've been told that it should come off over time or with some alcohol.

I would hope the current stuff is better than what they were applying 5 or 6 years ago anyhow , but I was just wondering if any of the vendors were presenting research data / etc to help show it doesnt look like a 2-tone paint jobs years later.

Now I just need to make some progress with the dealer to where I'm actually DRIVING a G.
