Whatsup guys been viewing this site for a while now. Must say that alot of the cars on here are amazing. Heres my dillemma:

Dad gives me his 03.5 G35 Sedan with 200k+ miles on it. The miles are mainly from commuting from New Orleans to Virginia. It has never had any major problems with the engine, transmission, or electrical systems. I want to make this my project car but i'm unsure about dumping a heavy amount of money into it at this point.

Any suggestions??????????

 

200K+ miles!? You may be the first one on here with that many miles!

 

VQ35 is a strong engine. Just do the maintenance, and enjoy your gift.

The engine is bulletproof as long as you take care of it, also change the oil in the transmission. Check everything on the car if everything is ok keep on driving it it can last for another 200k

 

Really appreciate all the optimism about the engine. I gotta little bit of cash stashed just incase something would happen. In the process of selling my 99' Civic Si so i can do some major upgrades...
