New G35x, first post

Hey everyone - first post from a new 08 G35x owner. Picked it up on Dec 30th and I am loving this car! I have previously owned two Audi A4s (98 & 2002) with AWD as well as a leased BMW 325xi and I can say with certainty that this G35x is the best car I have driven and the best value feature-wise in its class. I spent a few days at various dealers test driving and talking features and prices and my last stop was a local Infiniti dealer. From the moment I sat in this car, I knew. The test drive sealed it. The power is abundant and seamless, the interior is gorgeous and the ride is fantastic. I was foolish not to have found Infiniti sooner.

Pictures once I stop driving around :-P

Congrats.... I just negotiated two G35x's in chicagoland... one for the wife, one for the mother-in-law.... both awesome (prem/navi on both)...

I have driven a 2004 Acura TL Aspec for 5 years now and can hands down say as I've always said... Infiniti/Nissan torque is more fun than Honda/Acura high-end VTEC power .. and this G' definitely SNAPS! off the line... tons of features, tight handling... whudda value for the money....

Hi everyone, I am a new 08 G35xS owner too. Just got the car 2 months ago, just want to know can I put 20" staggered wheels on, or I have to go for 20" X 8.5 all around. cause I heard the 20 staggered wheels might vold the AWD function of the car. I am thinking of using 5-zigens Garvis I wheels.

FluffyG - Sorry I "yelled" at you last week for not knowing all the in's and out's of highlight sensitivity...I'm sure you've read the manual cover to cover by now...I also love my G...A lot...

FluffyG - I might need to send you the e-version of the G35 Owners Manual...I'm pretty particular as you can see by past posts and it pains me to think you haven't read the owners manual cover to cover...BUT, I'm here to help.

In the 7" center dash display go to:

SETTINGS>COMFORT & CONV>AUTO HEADLIGHT SENSITIVITY>

GOING TO THE (+) SIDE MAKES THE HEADLIGHTS COME ON EARLIER (WITH LESS DARKNESS) and (-) SIDE REQUIRES PRETTY MUCH TOTAL DARKNESS BEFORE THEY "ILLUMINATE".

You should set all the way to the (+) side for safety...See Owners Manual pages 4-18 and 4-19...

I'll forgive you...THIS time...

P.S. See this DRL Mod for additional "safety" and a discount from your insurance company - in most cases - for permanent DRLs

Kloss - thanks for setting me straight and for the info. I will easily admit to not reading the manual because the car is just too d*mn much fun to drive.
