New G37 Sedan Owner

I picked up my G37 6mt Platinum Graphite / Graphite with Premium last night. It is sooooooo much nicer than my 03 G35 6mt coupe (RIP). I was dreading converting from a coupe to a sedan but I think i'm going to love it once I get rid of the rims and get it tinted.

Congrats and keep us posted on what you think of the transition. I've been contemplating buying a G37xS for next year.

I like the car the more I drive it. The Sport front tires are 225/50R18 and 245/45R18. The front tires are a weird side and selection is extremely limited. I will go up to 235/50R18 and 255/45R18 when it is time to get new tires.

The 6mt transmission takes a little getting used to and maybe it is b/c i'm still breaking it in. Pedal feel is lighter, smoother and clutch take up is longer IMO. I'm used to my 03 6mt transmission and was still on my stock tranny at 92K.

The Brembo look-a-like brakes on the car is not as grabby as the brembos but it stops very well. Again, I only have 140 miles on the car. I suspect that braking power will increase as I break her in further.

The tires come filled with Nitrogen and I have no idea where there are nitrogen stations in my area.

There are so many bells and whistles that aren't in my 03.

Fit and finish has improved IMO.

The connector in the back of the mirror allows anyone to hardwire their radar with no special tools, although it can probably be done on all Infiniti vehicles with the homelink mirror. (I hardwired mine last night with a wire stripper, utility knife, and a large safety pin)

Satellite capability comes with the Premium package and a 3 month XM trial is included.

Cons:

Backseat doesn't fold down
Cargo net is useless
vehicle break-in is at 1200mi
Rims are hideous

I looked at the IS350 and C350 but came back to Infiniti. I walked away with only a bruised shoulder and a sore wrist after my accident. I've seen pics of totaled G35/37s where the occupants survived with little or no injuries. Other vehicles would have severely hurt or killed their occupants. Whether you get a G37xS coupe or sedan, you can't go wrong either way. I still miss my coupe. I feel that I'm cheating in some way when I see a G35 coupe when driving my g37 sedan.

If the tires come filled with nitro, most likely the car dealer will offer it. Not all of them have it. Also try Costco.
