lurker going public

So like it says, ive been lurkin on the site for a while did my fair share of reading first.

to start, im a subaru owner. 04wrx heavly modded, and im no strainger to forums. I'm also a lead tech on a rallyteam, so im no strainger to car. Built engines and trannys, along with some record time suspenstion swaps and clutch jobs. I'm currently installing a vortech supercharge on my dad's 04 g35. Car has 18k on the clock and has never seen rain or snow.

Quick mod list:
Vortech supercharger
600cc DW injectors
walbro 255
1step colder plugs
kinetics highflow cats
invidia g200 catback

and it will be tuned with a cobb accessport down at EFI logics in connecticut.

ill post pics of both cars later on. as for now ill continue to read the stickys before someone post "READ THE STICKYS NOOB" hahah

but anyways, Hello!

Welcome to Driver!

You will have to do a write up on your Dad's G with pics and what not of the installation.

Absolutly. Ive been taking pictures along the way and let me tell you, doing plugs and injectors on the G is a cake walk compaired to the subaru boxed motor.

as much of a fan of subaru I am I think im rather liking these VQ motors and the setup they have. The Idea of a swirl pot in the fuel pump assembly is briliant.

Car looks, good mod list sounds great!

STI looks sick man, post some more photos. What kind of power is that thing putting down? Those tires have some meat

Awesome project you and your Dad have there !

I've always had good experiences with Subaru owners and actually all of my cars work has mostly been done by a Subaru owner and close friend.

Also, which Vortech kit did he end up going with? Do I hear a father vs. son friendly run ? Keep it safe and good luck with the build

We got the tuner kit, with the SC trim if i remember correct. We went for the tuner kit because we were able to use our own fuel system and tuning.

We'll probably run against eachother at the local drag strip early next year. Should be some good fun.
