Congrats on the G35, I love the ivory pearl. Good luck with it, first its the tint, next thing you know you will go crazy modding it, the only thing stopping me from modding my g35 like the rest of these guys on here is im still a teen and money is a problem.

Thanks. I'm not planning on going too crazy, just slowly making minor improvements

Weekend: Tints, 35% all around
Next week: OEM Z-Tube w/ K&N, 06 Rev-Up airbox
Then: Grounding wire kit

And what's with the uncovered brake fluid compartment? Gotta order that right-hand drive battery cover now too? C'mon Infiniti!

Any mod plans? A plenum spacer and sways would be a very good start

Swapping in an OEM Z-Tube w/ K&N & 06 Rev-Up airbox, but don't want to dig into the motor just yet

Sways are definitely tempting...any recommendations? How about a strut tower brace...not as good as sways, but will it make any noticeable improvement?

Soo it's been about 3 weeks now and thus far:

-Tint
-JDM Battery Cover
-Clear corners
-Rev-Up Airbox w/ K&N
-Z-Tube
-CF Strut Bar from Riverside

Here's some Airbox/K&N/Z-Tube install pics:

Clear corners.

All my fingers and toes were numb from working outside, and couldn't feel my left foot at all.

After the Z-Tube/K&N/Rev-Up airbox install, when I start the car in the morning, there is quite an audible hiss for about 10 seconds that was not there before. It then fades away and the car runs great. No CEL or any issues. Does not happen if the engine is warm, only happens on the first cold start in the morning.

Is this normal?

Thanks

It has been SUCH a b*tch. First I lose feelings in my fingers...they are completely numb and I can't feel what I'm holding. Then I lose feeling in my toes, then my entire foot. First one, then the other (that's when I kick myself for only wearing 1 pair of socks). My nose is numb and running, my **** is blowing away, my scarf is getting caught in the engine bay.

NEVER AGAIN.

I was skeptical as to whether I would notice a difference, but I am definitely glad I installed it. I'm sure it improves the handling of a fat, stock-suspensioned all-wheel drive sedan more so than a G35 coupe with the sport package, for example.

Steering inputs are more direct and the car is more responsive. I first realized this after I noticed myself avoiding potholes that used to be too late to avoid. The car responds immediately when you bring the wheel off-center. That "dead spot" in the middle is virtually gone. I wiggled the wheel back and forth ever so slightly, and sure enough the car jiggled around, confirming my suspicion.

At higher speeds and faster corners, it feels like a more progressive and confidence-inspiring resistance as you ramp up the speed. Understeer has been very noticeably reduced. I took the car to a sweeping corner that I usually can't take at much more than 70mph, with both hands on the wheel. I was able to push 80+ one-handed with the bar.
