Bako Cali G35

Hi my name is brad and im..

-stoked to be the new owner of a 2004 G35 Coupe @ 67XXXMI. It has been driven really hard and maintained poorly, thus begins my TLC process.
Today I’m taking it in for an alignment and suspension inspection due to the apparently notorious “creaking” sound. Briefly skimming through threads of the past I’ve noted a lot in regards to compression rods and bushings. I’ll be sure to mention that to the mechanics, have they not yet been advised.

It looks like the previous owner has installed:
K&N Typhoon Intake,
Plenum Spacer
Test Pipes – Brand TBD after I throw them in the trash.

Anyways I look forward to getting all of your advice and many years of driving.

Don't throw the test pipes away, try selling them on the forum, worth a shot.

Welcome to the boards and big ups to you for searching about the creaking issue. Pics of recent purchase?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Refreshing to see a new member doing a little leg work on his own to learn about his car.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the family!

Thanks for the feedback-
Today while trouble shooting the "creaking" noise I got side track with the exhaust rattle. I found out that I've got Megan Cat-Delete pipes and the right one has a crack along one of the welds. This explains my terrible civic banger rice rocket rattle. (The fact that it rattles also explains why I wanted to trash them, my bad) I'm doing a bit more research on which exhaust I want to replace it with, I'll probably have questions soon.

Oh yeah, it really looks like its got headers too but I'm not sure what kind. I called the guy who sold it to me and he has NO recollection of installing them....wtf? Please look at the pictures...am I tripping?

In regards to the "creak." I know for sure my right control arm bushing needs to be replaced. If the video attachment works you can see me apply pressure to it and relieve the sound. For now, we lubed it up and while it did greatly improve, it still creaks. Well see what replacing the bushings does.
