Got a used 07 G35x....now what?

Hi folks. New to the forums. New to Infiniti. Just bought a used G35x sedan for my wife. 50k miles. Still looks and smells new. I've never owned a performance or luxury vehicle. I'm mostly a truck guy but we've had a couple of Maximas and a Murano.

Anyway, the car is great. Read lots of reviews. Been on a few country drives and pushed the car a bit. More power and better handling than anything I've ever owned. This is the first vehicle I've had in 10 years that I enjoy driving just for the sake of driving. I like the idea of a fast, good handling vehicle. I liked all the reviews of this car.

But once you've spent the extra money (over a Maxima or a Camry or whatever) for that power and handling, what do you really do with it? Sure, you can air it out on the on ramps. Maybe passing on a two lane from time to time.

I'm just wondering what more some of you do to really take advantage of what this car offers. Do you seek out scenic drives in your area? Do any of you take your car to a track with a club? Are there places you feel safe really pushing the car? Or do you just wash wax and detail and enjoy the thought of all that power.

I'm just curious since it seems like I spend as much time behind minivans in the G as I do in my F150.

George

^ Thats one take.

Or, you can just keep it stock, or have some light mods and just enjoy the car as is.

Or, you can make it a track beast, have it boosted and let it make crazy power.

Basically, look through the forum, of the different 07 and up G35 sedans, and see if theres anything you like. After, work your way through just like that.

I guess I'm just a boring old married man. I'm not really looking to mod this car. BTDT with trucks. Lots of money, not much to show for it, at least not for what I want the car to do. Not looking to be seen or heard either.

I probably just need to find a car club or a good list of driving roads. Found some good country roads this weekend but still a bit nervous pushing this car hard on public roads.

I had a friend with a BMW M3 that used to do some kind of timed touring events. Sounded kind of fun but a bit tedious too.

Anyway, I've got to find something for this car to do other than just hauling my wife to work and back.

The auto cross looks fun. Did a little research and the SCCA has events very close to where I live. They also do the road rally stuff. Looks very tedious but I could get my wife involved as navigator. Thanks.
