New Member G35 coupe hihi~
Hey everyone, my name's Mike and I'm from Missouri. I'm a new member here on the forums and first time G35 owner. I love the way G35's look and handle, also my favorite part of the car might just be that rear end
I was told the color is "liquid platinum" but i haven't found any other LP's, maybe its just DG?
Anyways, here's some pics and list of some aftermarket goodies on the car so far.
2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with the six speed, it has the aero package with moon roof and black leather interior.
- Osiris EMS
- Wilwood 4 piston front calipers with 13 inch drilled rotors
- K&N cold air intake
- Kinetix upper intake manifold
- Megan Headers
- Megan High flow cats
- Magnaflow cat back exhaust
- Samco radiator hoses
- Stillen oil pan extension (6 quart capacity) and engine torque damper
- Unorthodox Crank pulley
- Clutch Masters FX300 clutch
- Tein S Tech lowering springs
- Ichiba rear camber
- 18'' BBS RK
- Aftermarket grille and lip
There is also alot of alcantera on the doors, console and headliner which look/ feel very nice.
In the near future i would like to get a different set of wheels and im on the edge and can't decide to keep this grille or put an OEM emblem less one back on? Only problem is i dont have an OEM one anymore and if i traded someone i wouldnt know how much to charge on top. I would also like to upgrade to 06+ headlights as well. Also considering obtaining a trunk with no spoiler. Oh, and i have a set of 4x 25mm spacers delivered as we speak from a member on here ( Kday
) so it will make these BBS wheels looks alittle better hopefully.
I'm looking forward to learning a lot more of G35's and please leave any feedback, thanks!

Congrats on your car. It is actually looking pretty nice in that condition that you bought it, but it could definitely use some tweaks in my opinion.
So here is some constructive criticisms, since you wanted some feedback. You definitely do need some spacers to push your wheels out a bit more. Would definitely make them flush once you get them in. Pretty easy to install too, I might add.
Next, the grill doesn't look too bad at all, I'm kind of mixed whether I like it or not. Personally though, I would go with an OEM grille with the emblem on it. Either leave it chrome or paint it black. To me, both look great.
If you get another set of wheels, I would definitely move up in size. 19's or 20's. I am biased with 20's though, but 19's work too! I think 18's are a bit too small, but they look decent on your car.
The S-techs give your car a good, mild drop. Nothing too aggressive and nothing too hard to adjust to when you need to drive. It also flows good with the lip and your factory sides. I would probably invest in some front and rear splash guards tho, but only if you don't intend on changing out the sideskirts. If you do intend on changing out the sideskirts in the future, I wouldn't bother with the front splash guards and just go with the rear guards to have the lines flow into your rear valance.
As for your exhaust, the tips stick out a bit too far for my taste... it makes your rear end look kind of odd. (no homo) I'd switch it up to something else... maybe OEM if that's what you want. The OEM exhaust is pretty damn nice for what it is, but if you want better sound and a better looking aftermarket exhaust, I would suggest looking into an HKS or some of their replica's. I know Calvin is selling a replica in the Market Place. And paint that valance black or get a rear diffuser!
Other then some small tweaks, I think your car looks great. A +1 on the projectors that you wanna get. Light output is freakin awesome.
I hope you're not offended by my post. You wanted some feedback so I figured I'd just give some of my opinions on what direction you could go.
If not man, just remember its your car so you do what you wanna do! Welcome to the community and happy modding, sir.

I really appreciate your feedback and you taking the time to share that knowledge with me. I couldn't agree more with what you've said so far. I like the way your exhaust tips stay almost flush with your rear bumper. maybe i can get someone to trade me an OEM exhaust for my Magnaflow one, I'm not a big fan of the look nor the constant deep tone it gives when i drive on the highway for extended amounts of time. I also like your wingless trunk alot, is that an OEM trunk and if so if i were to remove my spoiler is that what it would look like? Or would i have to get a completely seperate trunk?
Anyways, thanks for your input again ^__^

No problem, OP. The community is designed to help each other, even though some people don't approach the situations very tactfully and will banter you. But that's how some people are, you can't help that.
Anyways, back on topic. I'm sure you can find an OEM exhaust pretty easily, most likely craigslist or probably even in the Private Classifieds Market place. When I first bought the car, I was a bit surprised with the somewhat deep tone that the OEM exhaust has. Doesn't sound ricey at all. I ended up switching out though, because I wanted something a bit more throaty so I got my an HKS replica in the form of my X02 exhaust. I agree with you, I also like how it sits flush with my rear bumper. And I think the Nismo CF Replica Diffuser helped with that a lot.
As for my wingless trunk, yea... its an OEM trunk. I actually had the wing removed and the holes welded shut and sanded down. Then it was repainted, obviously, so it would match my car. I used to have the "whale tail" like yours, and though I do still like it... I think it disrupts the natural body lines of the car. I haven't regretted that decision at all. Wingless is definitely the way to go.
I had a Strafe Speed carbon fiber trunk, the one with the little lip, but unfortunately I had to let that go. Someone locally was selling it for a good deal so I hopped on it on a whim, but when bills came around, I needed the cash so I had to sell it.
Edit:
Haha, we think alike is why. Both got some good taste. The only thing you and me disagree on... is you parting out your fkn car!

Good to hear about the trunk, i think there is a very good possibility i'll be following in your footsteps and removing my "whale tail" as well.
And another question, there seems to be a lot more 350z owners around my area then G35, do you think it would be possible to trade my G35 aftermarket exhaust for an OEM 350z? Are they interchangeable or i being crazy? haha

I honestly don't know if they are interchangeable or not. The extent of my own research did not go that far.
Trending Topics
350z exhaust is shorter by about .5 inch or 1.5 can remember exactly so you would need a lil bit of pipe welded in
only thing i would say is to buy some mesh for now you can get it anywhere it makes your grill look off place without it....
price for most aftermarket grills is 160 before paint with a perfect fit like ionics....oem usually gets between 60 on lowside and 80 high you can do a search and see what others are selling for. If that was me i would try to find a junked g at the yard and pick the grill up.
as for the exhaust if its really deep try taking off the hfc's. My injen ses wasnt so deep and throaty until i put the cats on.
Anyways welcome to the site. Just remember that search button because ppl love to flame.
