You know, I am not sure! lol I think it is flat. Just some paint I had around from another project. I have to say, that was probably the easiest mod to do! Hardest part was figuring out how to get the edges of the grill off, but come to find out they just pop out...

Center emblem is just clipped in and pops out. No masking, just cleaned it and sprayed! Satin or flat would both look great, IMO.
