In todays world you can't do what I did with my Z, opened the hatch and lifted my kids in....of course they each had their own pillow! lol I raised two children and never found the need for a sedan nor would I want one! With the G you'll have everything you did with the Z plus the back seat, sunroof and leather interior. Welcome to DRIVER....enjoy!

I've traveled (5hrs) with adults on the back seat of the coupe...no complaints.

It also depends on how tall you are. I'm 6'3", so if I had to ride four deep, somebody is gonna be uncomfortable after 10 minutes.

As far as the coupe VS sedan debate goes there's no argument for me... it would definitely be the coupe. I've just got to do a bit more learning on it before I pull the trigger. It's not set in stone that I'll do the trade, but I'm really looking into it.

Thanks for all the welcomes though guys.

I'll have to get some pics uploaded here. Still just contemplating the notion of trading. It's not my daily driver so it's not a pressing issue, but just something I'm considering.

I say do it! My kids are 8 and 6 now and I got the G 2 years ago. No problems with them. Now a baby in those baby car seats (backwards facing) might be a problem but they grow out of those fast enough. My kids love riding in my car. I've never put a kid seat back there because they are so tucked in and hidden as it is, and the seatbelt is there... those bucket seats in the rear are not real accommodating for kid seats... maybe with a thick towel or something but I've never wanted to mess up the leather. Still, it's a backseat and small to average size people seem to fit fine.

I'd just keep the Z and use your significant other's car.

Folding the seats forward and loading kids in the back.... that would blow and is such a hassle, especially when your juggling kids in one arm.

Friend had an SC300 and it made me realize that I never want to deal with that royal PITA when hauling people.

The rear seat isn't to bad. Three of my friend drive G coupes and I've been decently comfortable. Not to mention the G is more luxurious than the Z

Nonesense...I used my G to transport my Baby and then as she grew up as it was the safest car I owned for 4 years strait...safer and drove better in the winter than my silverado.

Yes they stopped the brembos, but the Infiniti brakes had the same stopping distance as the brembos...its the brake fade from repeated high speed stopping you have to worry about.

and I know plenty of adults (mostly females) that loved sitting in the back seat of my G Coupe.

+1...you will love the upgrade...just make sure you get an 05-07 if you really want to see a difference from your Z. good luck!
