need help with rims

My girlfriend has an 03 coupe with factory 17's. Want some black rims without replacing tires. Would black 17's look ok or do we need to go bigger and also what offset would be the best look and fit.

Since you're stuck with the 17" wheels have them powder coated whatever color your g/f likes. Check with other DRIVER members in your area for a quality powder coating company.

K thanks Gary. Anyone know a cheap place to buy rims looking to spend $600 or less on a set and maybe a good place to get them powdercoated in the Jonesboro, AR area.

you're only stuck with the 17's if you think they look good enough....personally, ditch'em and find some sporty/inexpensive black 19's or 20's. They are out there.....

I say just live with what you have until you are ready for new tires... which shouldn't be all that long with this car. I also don't think the wheels you buy should be cheaper than the tires on them. So save up a bit and then get some larger wheels in black and forget the painting. Bigger (up to 20") always looks better IMO, just make sure you (or she) can afford the $1000+ a year in tires.
