Hello All :D
Hello All :D
Hi everyone, I don't have a G35 but I'm searching for my next DD for VERY SOON.
I just payed off my 98 Z28 M6, and will be putting it up for sale as soon as the weather gets better and the sun comes out from hiding(Kansas City KS).
I'm choosing between 05/06 LS2 GTO M6 OR 05+ G35 sedan M6 for my next car. I'm going crazy over choosing between the two. Anyones input will be greatly appreciated.
I'm currently in a muscular car and I like some things and some things I don't so much. I love the V8, I respect the LSx motors sooooo much because it has answer all my abusing over the past 3 year no problem. I mean i respect this engine more than anything! BUT it obviously doesn't have a very welcoming interior for a DD. And comfort isn't one of its highest features.
So I love the V8 grunt and fun and acceleration and the sportyness of the car overall. BUT I will be having a big commute this upcoming fall for my school and will be needing a more comfy car.
The GTO has a great interior(i know this car like a back of my hand), LS2 engine, so i don't feel like I ever left the muscular car world, and from alot of searching there seems to be no drawbacks.
But I'm just getting alittle more mature and might want to get into something more "practical", even though the GTO doesn't have any drawbacks to call it "unpractical", so idk....
The G35 definitely I respect b/c i've been around alot of Nissans in my family and love them. I'm keeping the cars pure stock so it will be slower, comfort is definitely up there on part of its specialties. Definitely has more luxury features, though i'm not that much into them. BTW how do the VQ engines put up with abuse? I gotta heavy right foot so I just want to know if it can withstand over time.
I'm just going crazy choosing between the two because I know the G35 is a better well rounded car in terms of practicality/dd comfort and reliability....BUT my heart doesn't want to leave the V8
Sorry for the long rant, anyones opinions will be greatly appreciated. Anyone else made the similar move as I'm thinking of?

Your comparing apples to oranges...but I can definitely tell you that you'll seriously miss the v8...
I made the switch from a GT mustang to my G and it was like night and day...
But again, its 2 completely different cars....the v8s are monsters, the Gs are more elegant and luxurious, really depends what your looking for at this point in your life...
