I want more HP

I just got 2005 g35 coupe out of the paint shop... got it a make over... now I wanna get more horses outta my engine. Can anyone help me on the 1st steps I should take to help improve... exhaust & intake, should I tune ecu, or what??? I have no upgrades right now I wanted my car too look good before I started on the engine... any ideas for most HP gain??

Money is an issue... $1200 budget... until I can save up more...

are you 6mt or 5at?

for 1200 get hfc/tp, plenum spacer, and/or used exhaust

Best results for increased hp/tq in the $1200 price range is...
5at - z-tube, 5/16" Motordyne plenum spacer, HFC/TP, aftermarket exhaust and tune.
6mt - same setup just add MREV2 manifold (also from Motordyne Engineering).
If you buy used you can def come close to the $1200 mark.
