GM guy going Infiniti

hey guys,
i figured i'd introduce myself. i'm from Jersey, and proud of it. i've driven nothing but vehicles produced by General Motors my whole life. I've had a few Trans Ams and a CTS, but i thought i'd change it up a bit this time around.
the forums for the LS cars were really extensive, and really helpful. it's looking like the G world is about the same, so i'm looking forward to it. my goal was to find a completely stock, unmolested, taken care of g35. it took me a few weeks, but i finally found one that i was satisfied with.

i picked up an 04 g35 coupe 6mt. like i said, its 100% factory now, and i plan on doing only tasteful, subtle mods. i'm not looking to do any performance mods, just because i did the whole "speed" thing with all of my other vehicles.

thanks.

She's beautiful! Welcome to the family, you definitely came to the right forum. Just about any question you will have has been answered here and there is so much information about Gs on Driver it gets mind numbing at times. I, too, am an old school muscle car, go fast guy and said the same thing you did about the go fast mods. Then I got used the the G and wanted more.

Because Nissan did a great job from the factory tuning these engines the good news is there isn't a lot more HP to pull out of our engines unless you go FI, but I warn you now: you will probably end up wanting a little more power, it sounds like it's in your blood like some of us and it's hard to resist. High flow cats, exhaust, and plenum spacer are a good solid base to get more juice especially if you get tuned with a reflash like Osiris.

Yeah, I'm hoping I stay satisfied for a little while at least. Lol. We'll see. Thanks again for the support man.

it's going in for tint some time next week.

15% all around. 45% for the windshield. 55% for the tails and side markers(just enough to take the red and orange glare out of them, if you know what im talking about).

DD conversion also. i've had the car a week and im already pulling my hair out with this stock radio!

i also really need to pick up a set of new shoes for the summer. still debating on what i'd like to do, what finish i'd like with this color. it's funny, with the F-bodies(trans ams, camaros, vettes), you're very limited in rim choice. the g35 family of cars, it's overwhelming how many choices you've got.lol.
i'll just keep my eyes open for the time being.

yeah, this wasnt an easy color to track down. i found a few, but they all had the tan gut, and i wasnt feeling that even a little. i really held out until i found the one i wanted.

im glad i waited it out. im usually a "black or silver" kinda guy, but i went out on a limb with this color choice. ive gotten nothing but compliments thus far, and im pleased with it.

If you don't like the side-markers buy a pair of clear corners. I got mine for I think 20-ish bucks. Looks waaaaaaaaaay better than the orange ones IMO. And for the tail lights check out Bluebatmobile (just google it) You can buy pre-cut tint overlays for the tail lights. Just some other options to consider for ya!

Plus one on the clear side corners. Would look great on your car. Make sure you get real Nissan ones or they may leak.

If you are from Jersey, you should really get billet grilles too.

Welcome!
