New G Owner! Lots of Pics Inside!! :]

Hello! My name is Sam, I'm from Sunny San Diego
I just purchased my new G about 3 weeks ago and I love it!
It's a 2005 6MT
I've been looking around on this forum for a while now, I can finally make a thread!
A friend of mine is a professional photographer, here are some photos he took of my baby

Infiniti Skyline GT350 FTL.

Your friend may be a professional photog, but please tell me he isn't a professional CAR photog. In case you didn't notice, you have a building growing out of the top of your car in the last shot.

In all seriousness - I moved your thread to new member introductions and welcome you here!

Your biggest issue is not knowing how long it's been on there, and what the paint underneath it looks like.

Black is a bit of a b*tch - you may be able to see sun fade when compared to the surrounding paint when you pull it.

Getting it off is very simple and that process alone will leave no damage if you're halfway careful - lots of different techniques. Most involve a heat source (hair dryer), dental floss (or thin fishing line) and some sort of solvent to remove any left over glue (goo gone).

The good news is a good detailing and a little time in the sun will equal things out and it would only be blantantly obvious in the beginning and to someone who actually understood what they were looking at.

Roger on first car shoot. We have some guys around here (Calvin for one, Candlestickpark for another) who aren't necessarily professional photogs, but have car photoshoots down to a science - their work are truly things of beauty.

It's definitely a skill developed over time. You'll see lots of their stuff here and you'll know what I mean.

To all the other car photogs here - no disrespect - I only included the ones I can correctly spell off the top of my head. I'm old. Give me slack.

looks great. there's a ton of G owners in SD, keep an eye out for them.

as other have said, get that mt. fuji and skyline off there. if you want to keep anything, either the 350gt or fuji, but not both. mr. henry lee up there recently put on the 350gt. ask him for pics.

Ask what he's previously done with the car and have it carefully inspected I'm not a fan of buying cars with mod I always buy from old people who keep up with the dealer

How bout buying a modded G from old people?

Welcome to DRIVER Sam, nice OB coupe! Yea, there's a bunch of members in SD so you'll have lots of support. Good idea would be to DEBADGE (SEARCH) and mount the Mt. Fuji emblem in your grille. (3M double sided adhesive) Enjoy your new ride Sam!

Thanks for all the info about debadging, I will tackle that project when I got extra time! Thanks for the welcome.
I think I'll debadge everything except the Mt. Fuji
