Hi there. New G35 owner.

Just wanted to say Hi. Name's Jesse. Just got a 04 G35 coupe 6 speed. Love the car! I've had it 3 days and we just had a hail storm FML. So far no damage just a little water inside... Any advice on how to dry her out without the carpet smelling?

Welcome bro, just head to a car wash and use the vacuum to get 90% of the water up and then when the sun comes out let it air dry.. then u can use this stuff called "tuff stuff" u can get it from the dollar store.. it will clean it and leave a fresh smell to the carpet

Thanks man Ill try that... Only thing is I looked closer today and my car looks like it has dimples.

I don't know if a pop a dent would be able to get something that fine out...

It won't. Save your money. I have a little pop above my RR wheel well and I thought a pops-a-dent would get it out. Completely failed. Just a heads up

If small dents bug you like they do me find a dent removal shop in your area. In CA. they're called Dent Masters or Mr Dent and charge $65= per panel. Hood's a panel or same with the roof or trunk....get it?

Oh yea Jesse, WELCOME to DRIVER! So how did the rainwater get inside your G? Leave a window down, sunroof open or do you have a leak somewhere? This would be a concern even before you get your carpet dried out and smell'in good....Gary

Thanks for the advice and the welcome.
We have a place called Jazz dent here, and they were similar in price(around 80 buck a panel), but after the hail storm they got greedy. They quoted me 3000 for the work...

As for the water some of it was from me getting into the car while soaked. The rest from a leak in the moon roof.

That sucks! Maybe you can wait a few months before the price goes back down. I am sure they raised it b/c of the hail storm don't you think?

I'm sure they raised it because of the hail storm... thats actually what i was planning on doing.. hopefully their rates will go down after a couple months.
