New Member Introduction—2006 X DG

This is something members did on V6p.net. Thought Id introduce myself/the mods I intend to do.

I recently purchased a DG 2006 g35x w/ 58,000 miles. I previously had a 2004 accord v6 6speed manual, but it got totaled . I got an excellent deal on the G and am excited to started modifying! In my opinion, G>Accord. I finally know what torque feels like haha. My accord was pretty quick. It had all the bolt-ons installed (which from what Ive gathered researching on this site, add larger gains to the car than do the bolt-on mods available for the G).

My car does have some hail damage . That knocked the price down about 5k from what I would pay for a like car with no hail damage. The hail damage is very mild and only noticeable on the hood/trunk. The car is very mechanically sound, it drives very well, and passed a 100 point inspection test before I purchased it. The interior of the car is in 9.5/10 shape. The exterior on the other hand, isn't terrible but there are some dings/scratches that have already started to bug me :/. Only things that you really have to look. Even from about 2 feet away they aren't noticeable.

I am considering buying an OEM style carbon fiber hood/trunk and having a shop paint it. Im not really a fan of unpainted carbon fiber on mostly stock looking cars. Regardless of if I decide to get CF or OEM that will be the first thing that I buy for my car.

Mod List:
1.) Lowering springs—most likely Z and coupe springs
2.) Coupe Midpipe
3.) Intake
4.) Tint— legal limit
5.) Roof/Trunk Lip
6.) Fix Every minor ding/scratch on the car
7.) Front Lip
8.) Sway Bars

FYI, the stock hood and trunk are aluminum so you will save little, if any, weight by going cf. And welcome.

Welcome! Looks like a solid list to start with. Just wait until you own a car with a v8, then you will know what torque feels like lol
