Talking Just got my G Coupe!!!

Hi everyone I just picked up my first G. Its a 2003 G35 AT Coupe with 25k miles, I know milage is phenomenal for its age. This thing is pretty gnarly!!! Only downfall to me is the tan interior but i'll manage.

I would like to upgrade the brakes and rotors. Does BBK fit on factory 17's?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
P

Yeah I lucked out on low milage. Any idea on how much BBK would run me? Or any suggestions on what to do to it first? It will be my dd I think..... I have an accord also... But I want to get some work done to the G Im just that much more interested in the G.

What a church car. If you upgrade brakes your going to need 18' wheels. Get those 1st.

Thanks everyone for the replies and the inputs. I will defiantly consider going up in rim size first. I like the OEM rim look, Im looking to upgrade sometime this spring so i'll post some pics.

Also, I noticed that the tire size on the rear was different from the front... does that necessarily mean that the rear rims are different in width? or are all my rims the same size just different tire size?

Thanks again fellas.

Don't think BBK works with 17's. Wow you're by Chicago.. Welcome, I'm right in bridgeport area. Feel free to ask me anything I'm also in ChicagoZ with the same name.

Welcome to DRIVER Paul & Congratulations!

Paul why do you think you need a BBK, are you planning on tracking your extremely low mileage coupe? If you want to improve your braking ability go with better rotors and pads like HAWK HPS pads and DBA rotors. Best "Upgrade" you can make for your '03 coupe is '06 projector headlights and Motordyne's 5/16" spacer. Use our SEARCH function for more information about both!

gary c,

thanks for you reply. not planning to track its my dd. i want to upgrade tastefully and i liked the way BBK look. finacially it would be costly to me because i have to upgrade OEM rims and i would much rather buy some aftermarket rims. i say OEM because eventually here in chicago i will need to switch rims during winter. and the factory 17s are limited as far as BBK.

now as far as upgrade in rotor would the factory 17s be good for upgraded rotors? and would HAWK pads fit my current factory brake calipers?

also, what are the benefits of the 5/16" spacers?

apologies in advance for all the questions.

Paul J
