New Guy in South Florida

Hey everyone. I am a former STi owner but recently moved to a part of the country that doesnt require 4wd for any part of the year so I decided to go for something different. I've driven the e46 m3, but dont want to spend that much. I've driven the 300zx but want something newer. And I've driven the g35 and fallen in love and found a very happy medium.

I have learned that finding exactly the right one in south florida is very tricky. there are very few coupes down here with leather, 6 speed standard tranny, brembos and in good shape. I have looked at literally every one within a 50 mile radius of me and found two I like but one has 170k on the clock while the other has some modifications I'm not keen on(exhaust, intake, act clutch). the problems are that the intake sits just in front of the tire and there is no fender liners. The exhaust is fine except one 02 sensor is unplugged and the other had the wires ripped out when install was done and are exposed and touching the ground. So I'm just not sure I trust it.

The car looks great in pictures and good in person. The wheels were painted but are starting to chip, the side skirts match pretty good but the sheen is off a hair and the front bumper was painted at one point and matches well but i can tell it was painted. You can see the orange peel up close. The seats were died. that actually turned out pretty nice but the trained eye can tell.

What are your thoughts?

All input welcome. Thanks and look forward to being part of the community!

I did some searching and learned that the revup motor can also have oil consumption issues but is better than the older motors? Does it make more power than the 03-04? Is it the same vq3... Motor but with some sort of different components? Make sense?
