Newbie to the G35 scene!

Newbie here... Flame on me, throw me against the wall, beat me to the ground, haha. Anything to be part of you guys! I was aiming for an 2006 Lexus GS430, then an opportunity came knocking for a 2005 G35 6MT in OB. Mannn... So I took the offer and got what I paid for.

Check engine light came on and so ran engine diagnostic and threw a P0420 code. Previous owner had Megan Hi-flow cats and a hole in the y-pipe so I figured that was the cause, dropped $2,400 on stock cats and a new y-pipe to be installed and CEL went away. Car was on 350Z Eibach sportline, so instead of the 1.2 drop... it's a 1.7 (+0.5 drop 350z springs on a G), so then I knew the drop on eibachs was too much for this car.

I then went with Tein S-tech for a G and got that in. Front tires were shot due the the camber given with the eibachs and replace those, rears are decent but will hold till I order some forgestars later in July. Other than that, here I am!

First- welcome to the club... Looks like you've jumped right in. See you in the marketplace!

But am I seeing you spent 2400 bucks on stock cats and a new y pipe?

Lol, yeah I know I'm a noob and didn't know about the o2 fowlers thread where it corrects that issue. I wish i would've known to do that than to spend that much to go backwards rather than going forward and modifying. Man, haha I guess I'll enjoy my stock cats.

Yup you caught me alright, registered and straight to the marketplace. Just looking what I can find here and craigslist. Other than that, thanks man for the welcome!
