Hi, Everyone
Hi, Everyone

New member here. I've got an 07 G35S sedan, with pretty much everything. We bought it new. It was my wife's car originally, but became my daily driver when she died 4 years ago.
I love the car. It's been great, all around, but it's way overdue for some maintenance. Which is what brings me here, looking for info. I've been reading a lot of previous threads, learning much along the way. I still have lots more to figure out though, so y'all have a nice evening.
I'm terribly sorry to hear about your wife, my condolences to you.
That aside, welcome to the forums! All of the info you need for maintenance and DIY's are right here... search around for a good bit and don't be afraid to ask. I'm fairly new to the G scene but I'm loving every moment of it and thrilled to be able to be a part of it.

ScottC welcome to Driver! Sorry about your wife, losing someone you love can be extremely tough. How many miles on your '07 sedan? Scheduled maintenance is every 30K miles which includes all fluids and filters. Items like brakes, tires and belts should be checked every time you do an oil change. (3,500 miles) Questions, use our Search! You can have your sedan serviced at Nissan, they charge 30% less than Infiniti and carry the same parts and fluids. Good Luck & enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's been tough (our daughter was 23 months old when my wife died), but we're doing fine.
The car has just over 120 K miles, and has always gotten oil changes. Before my wife died, all maintenance was done at the dealer we bought it from. Since then, only one dealership visit when one of the cats went @ 85K miles. They did the trannie fluid then.
Now I'm finally getting around to replacing the shocks, which are badly past due. The brakes need attention, and the right front wheel bearing has been making noise for a while too. It's been a while since I worked on my vehicle(s) myself. With money more plentiful than time off, it was easier to just pay someone to do whatever needed to be done. Now that I have to be more money conscious, I need to do as much of the work as I can. Looking for info about what needed to be done and how to do it properly lead me here.
The forum has been great. Virtually every question I've had, I've found answered here. Including when I was completely freaked out by finding engine oil in a spark plug well when I changed the plugs yesterday. Two of the three right-side spark plug wells had oil inside, and I was envisioning terrible causes before I found the answer here. So there's a valve cover removal in my immediate future now too. My brake parts were just delivered, and I just (in a splurge of self-indulgence) ordered a set of BC coil-overs for my car. I'll try to work in other upgrades as I can.
Y'all have a nice day.
