New Guy. Aspiring to own a g35 eventually (rsx-s now)

Hey there,

I currently drive an 03 rsx-s with almost full bolt ons. Im in college now full time and think I might pick one of these up when Im out in a year or so.

My rsx has rh 2.75in exhaust sri(i live in mn with too much precipitation for a cai heh) and ecu upgrade. I plan to keep building and building this car over the years to come.
Plans will a swap for a k24 fully built and probably k20 ported and built head for boost. Its going to be a fuggin monster some day.

All I have planned for when I do eventually own a g35 is probably just find an 04-07 drop it, tint it, intake, and maybe a more fun of an exhaust note. Hopefully I can find one in black with lower miles without too much molestation already being done.

Till then Ill probably just be lurking and learning. may ask a few questions here and there. But Im excited to get into one eventually. Seems like a friendly luxury based sports car to me. My next (adult)car was going to be a TSX but I think I may finally break my Honda barrier for this car.

Also would you guys consider this forum to still be "alive"

I just graduated from college myself, back in May, and ended up buying a G35 out of the blue. I couldn't be happier with it.

I've only been around for a month now and have learned a ton. I feel like the forum is alive, but I'm sure the vets will say this place has blown past its heyday... at least that's what I've read from some.

Poke around, ask a few questions and you'll find yourself hanging out daily.

'05 G35 Coupe. 31,500 miles. The condition is about 95%. It was a rich, female's weekend car and was obviously garaged for a majority of it's life. I got it for $19700.

I went to school for Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast. I was the GM of my college's radio station and revived the dead program. I would love to get into radio or television at some point...there are too many hacks who need to be replaced IMO.

personally, i would stop upgrading the RSX right now and start saving to upgrade your new G or maybe even spring for a "newer" G...

just saying man.. it's a whole different and much more expensive playing field with G's.. (which is why i didn't upgrade mine )

I used to be a honda guy.. I don't bat an eye on a 10sec FWD civic on the streets now.. but a nicely modded G, i am impressed with..

it's kinda like BMW and MB guys not even looking at a VW GTI..

I'm not gonna say to not get a G because it is a great car. But I had an EP before the G and I can honestly tell you that I miss the EP much more than the G. Both cars had all the bolt-ons and I can honestly tell you that the EP with a mostly stock A3 motor was quicker all around, it just wouldn't reach the higher speeds like the G could.

Your RSX with the K24A2 will be able to take on any full bolt-on G, no matter how fast the driver thinks his car is.

Actually, it's more like the real BMW guys not even looking at an Acura or Infiniti.

yeah, I hear what you're saying. I think I would be holding on to this car anyways for a project, something to have fun with. If / when I get the G it's going to be just my nice daily driver.something to roll around in thts nice that's not going to see any work. The rsx wont be streetable.
