New G35 owner in Tampa, FL
Greetings, G35Drivers;
Finally, I own a G35. I fell in love with Nissan Skylines while I was stationed in Japan from '99 to '02 - I salivated over the many different models and types, from basic "economy" Skylines, to GTs, AWDs, and Godzilla, the GTR. As a young dad, I was sequestered to the land of mini-vans while my younger friends were tuning all flavors of Skyline and other ricers you could only find in Japan. Even after I left Japan, I had the fever for Skyline. More than a decade later, the kids are nearly out of the house and drive their own cars. Dad no longer has to roll with a mini-van and a commuter car. I just picked up an '06 coupe in obsidian (stone interior). It's an automatic (with that optional manual shift thing) - I'm okay with my girls driving it...on rare occasions.
It's average for its age; it's not perfect but it's got everything except nav, and it all works. It's "old enough" that I won't feel bad tinkering with it, but still "young enough" to feel new.
I'm looking forward to rebranding this G35 into a 350GT along with other tweaks...while I continue to save my pennies for Godzilla. A tweaked out 350GT will keep me satisfied...for now.
I just wanted to say "hi" and I've been reading all over the forums about stuff I hope to do.
Thanks for a great resource!
Don, Tampa, FL.
