Hi all. We (the wife and I) are proud to be new, to us at least, G35 owners. It is an '08 X with the premium package wearing 'Lakeside Slate' for it's color and just over 80,500 on the odometer. This car is meant to be her daily driver but my say in the purchase was to have a 'fun factor' to it. After a long search that included IS250's, 3 Series, A4's, and S60's, we decided that a G checked off most of the items on both of our list for what we wanted. Then it was finding one that wasn't worn out or used up. That was more of a challenge that we expected as you wouldn't believe some of the pieces of crap that were out there. But that helped us with the decision for this car as when we found it and it is VERY clean for it's age and miles, only 3 tiny paint nicks, but the usual signs of use in the interior. Saw it for the first time on a Sunday, went back on Wednesday to take a closer look. Took a test drive and loved it. Made sure it went to our mechanic and it passed with a clean bill of health and this quote from him, "That's one sweet ride"! Say no more, we bought it that day! Mods will be few due to it being 'Hers' but I can see a couple of K&N's in it's future, and I'm working a trade with her to let me add the paddle shifters I have seen in the DIY thread on here for a remote start. Seems fair to me! Now for the user name; we found out that in Japan the car is a Skyline. I said "WOW, they call it 'Godzilla' over there as it rules the streets. How about we get the personalized plates to say that?" She wasn't thrilled, but then I offered up 'Zilla'. "It could stand for 'Momzilla', 'Broadzilla', whatever" and she liked it! So we now call it 'Zilla' and will have the plates for it. That's how I came up with the user name 08Zilla.

I'm 'allowed' to drive it on the weekends!! Good thing there is two fobs or it would be a major tussel to get my hands on the steering wheel.
