New to forum, back in a VQ (V36 G35s 6mt)
Howdie Folks!
Hello folks! So after a 2 yr attempt of trying to leave my love of modding nissans (mostly 5spd Maxima SEs) I am back where I belong with the VQ motor... VQ35hr in an 07 G35s 6mt! I have to say it is a big thing for me as I always dreamed of the day I could find myself in a 6spd Z or G but I let go of the idea for a while. Recently that spark was awaken again and I made my move on this G35s which I fell in love with. I've had it for a week and a day now and since then I have been reading up on these vehicles like crazy.... No major plans as of yet as this will be my dd... so far I have ordered my oem lip chin from infinitiperry and am still deciding on what I will go with for lowering... I have ran both springs and coilovers on my maximas and love coilovers but dont feel like its necessary to have all those available adjusments with the stock V36 suspension being so firm, comfortable and responsive. I love how it handles out the box and really just want to lower it and add a fstb with some nice staggered 19's for now. So as of now I am leaning towards H&R's. I should be ordering somethng soon. Anyway I'm in love with my new car and am excited for whatever awaits to come. Glad to be a part of the G nation.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Look, you're no stranger to modding cars so you know what I'm going to say is the truth. If you plan on lowering it go with coils from the get go. You know you'll want to customize the drop and the availablility of adjustable dampening is a bonus.
Congrats on your new ride and enjoy your stay with us.

Thank you
Thanks! This is true... But for now I will most likely go with H&R since I'm still researching coillovers available to our 2nd gen sedans... I almost went with Tenabe until I realized there was no dampening adjustment... I've had good experience with both Ksports and D2 coils in my maximas but not sure if I want to go that route with my G. So now I'm searching what guys think about BC's.
