New to G35driver lazer red 06 6MT coupe

2006 Infiniti G35 coupe Rev-up edition. Its a 6 speed manual transmission. Clean title and carfax! and no accidents!

It's equipped 20 inch, deep-dish, black and polished silver rims. Wheels are staggered at 8.5 inch in the front and 10 inch in rear. Engine is modified with INJEN cold air intake, Stillen Headers, plenum spacer, and HKS high power exhaust. Interior black leather with NISMO shift ****, premium sports package (including sport suspension) and blacked out emblems.

I know that there's not too many dip fans here but I'm about to experiment with some metallic plasti-dip. Wanted to post the original color beforehand. New color pics to follow.

Looking to drop it 1.5 inches or so and put some coil overs on it. Any recommendations as to the best value and where to get them?

Also debating on dropping the wheels to 18 by 9 or 9.5 (no more stagger...) to save on tire cost. Any thoughts?

First suggestion is to take off those door bumpers! Why did those only come on some Gs? I hate those!

Anyhow, I wouldn't worry about unstaggering the wheels. Once you drop it you're gonna have a bunch of fun replacing all the other suspension components. Once you get it all worked out tho, the tires wear really evenly even without rotating.

Thanks. What do you mean by door bumpers?

The line that runs the length of the side of your car about halfway down the door. It's a bumper so if someone opens their door next to yours it doesn't scratch the door paint. I just don't like the way it bisects the door.

Nice looking ride, welcome to the forum.

The door bumpers GDirty is talking about are those adhesive 1 inch wide strips running down the middle of your doors.

They are designed to save your door from getting dinged if you open it into something or someone opens their door into yours.

Great concept if someone hits you with a car of equal height. Problem is most cars are higher or lower so they aren't very effective.

They just take away from the clean lines of a G IMO.

Laser red ftw. I'm selling some stance coilovers if you're interested.

Side bumpers are really called molding.

You really found a nice looking LR coupe, Congratulations! Did you get the engine cover with the car? Since nothing is polished it would look better with the cover on, if you have a 5/16" spacer the engine cover will fit! Keep your 20" wheels they go with the theme of your car and 20" tires aren't expensive. Coilovers are the best way to lower your LR coupe! Check out our Marketplace under vendor suspension, they'll have what you need (BC coilovers will fit your need) at a reasonable price. Be aware if you lower your coupe you'll need a complete camber kit, Search lowering. To gain knowledge about your G read all the stickys at the top of the coupe page. Good Luck with your new ride...enjoy!

20" tires aren't expensive? Say whaaaat? Maybe if you only had to buy them once every 4yrs. Daily driving gets real expensive. 18s or 19s look legit with the right drop.

You could be right cuz its not as common of a size, but I can get a full set of staggered 18s for $550 installed so its not really worth it to go for the 20s.

I can get a full set of new staggered 20" tires installed for $430 lol. Less if I get the absolute cheapest tires.

Thanks for all the help. I think the previous owner cleared the codes right before I bought it. It popped a c1109 and an O2 sensor code yesterday. I'm putting it on a lift today to investigate further.

Forum has helped in replacing the driver side window motor.

It is the 5/16th spacer, but I don't have the engine cover. Debating on getting a kinetix intake manifold though....
