2005 G35x - New User

Hello everybody.

I have had the joy of purchasing a used G35x a little over a year ago. I chose this car because of many reasons primarily styling, usability, and performance. This is my first purchased car, my last car was a 1991 Honda CRX Si that my father bought me when I was 17. The only thing I miss about that car was the gas mileage . Going from 36mpg to 18mpg sure got some getting used to.

All in all my car has been very reliable in the year I have owned it. I purchased it from a local dealer as a one owner car with 104k on the tachometer. I made them change the front right bearing before I bought it and it has been solid since. I have only put oil changes in it so far. I am super excited to be replacing the front rotors and pads this weekend as this is the first time I do any actual work to my car. I have never had a good mechanical background with cars; I am hoping to learn from my friends and fellow forum users. There is a funny story about what happened in my high school autos class that I will tell if there is enough interest.

I have visited this site from time to time in the last year but I feel that it is now time to join the community.

I mean we all like campfire stories, but as long as it's not about getting gayed in the public showers.

I owned a 2005X Black Obsidian one before, but it died in an accident . RIP!
