Very new owner of a very old G35
Very new owner of a very old G35
Hi, all.
Just bought myself an '03 G35 sedan. One previous owner who obviously cared for it very well, Carfax shows shipped to original dealer 4/2/02, and it has what I've come to find is called the "doggie door." The basest of base models: pretty much anything in the owners manual noted "If Included," is not (doesn't even have the steering wheel radio controls); my '98 Olds Intrigue had more amenities. But it's in fantastic shape, and drives like it's brand new.
When I was test-driving, I spent a bit of time on the freeway, but a lot more driving in stop-and-go traffic, since that's my daily commute. And while the mileage is about what you'd expect in that kind of traffic (around 17-18), no other car I test drove gave me the smoothness of acceleration, shifting, and braking, even in heavy traffic, that I get in the G35; that goes a long way to making up for the mileage, since I'm less frazzled when I arrive.
The CD player's fracked (and it already had the finishing board recall back in the day), but the HVAC seems fine, and I just play my mp3 player through the tape deck anyway.
Never done any kind of car modding (the only really interesting car I ever had was the '69 Camaro my dad let me drive back when I was in high school), but who knows what might lie ahead. Whether I do or not, looking forward to following everyone else's adventures here.
Pic's not great, but if I do anything exciting, I'll be sure to take a better one.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Love me some Emerald Mist, car looks great. How many miles does she have? Enjoy your new ride and if you stick around here for any amount of time the mod bug will most likely hit you so be forewarned.
Welcome! Lots of good info on this site.
Its a sad day when a g35 is referred to as" very old". I have a 05 coupe, I hope it's the 11 year mark that pushes it to the" very" category.

125K when I picked it up, around 126 now.
As to the color, I have to admit I'd never seen another one before, and on my daily commute (into Palo Alto, California), I see a LOT of G35's (and Teslas FWIW), so it's kind of nice to stand out a bit from the rest (still never seen another EM on the road).
