Cool J's G

Hey guys I've visited this site from time to time since I got my 06 G last year and finally decided to make an account. I hail from FL, but the Air Force has stationed me in WA so I'm just chilling with you West coast drivers haha. I come bearing questions though. I recently bought the APR wide body kit:

My question is how much do wide body kit installation + paint job cost? I took my car and kit to a shop and he quoted me $8600. Is that too much? I'd appreciate some responses, thanks ahead of time!

Welcome to the forum J.

Apr wide body kit once installed pretty much has no value coming off, because that value he quoted you at is very real. I would hope it would include painting and everything. If you decide to go with the APR kit you will also have to get wider wheels (minimum 2" with negative offsets) and other supporting mods.

***** expensive man, nothing bolts right up . GL with your choice. It is definitely a wonderful lookin kit once complete.

My stock headlights? I got rid of those not long after getting my G. Here's a better picture of my car before I install the body kit. Thanks UrbanEng I really appreciate your feedback, I'll have to get new wheels after too I suppose.

Welcome to the forum J!

I think there's a few subtle changes you can make to improve the look of your G. Painting the grille black would certainly improve the look.

Maybe consider adding some wheel spacers to line up with the fenders better?

$8.6K is quite a lot for an appearance upgrade that might not turn out the way you want it to

I'd use that money on other things first
