Hey guys!
So it's been a LONGGGGGGGGG time since I've been part of any forum. The last time I was on any sort of forum was acurazine a couple of years ago.
I bought this car used with 89,000 miles on it, but after 10 years of being owned by the origonal owner, I figured he wanted to take care of it for as long as he owned it. The interior is great considering the cars age (backseats looked near mint), as did the passenger seat. Under the hood, belts looked good, fresh fluids, new radiator cap, and there were no signs of this car being lowered. From what I can see, this was a commuter car for 10 years until the guy had a baby and needed a car with larger interior dimensions.
I've already done a manual transmission drain and fill with Nissan MTF, about to do a rear diff drain and fill with Motul 75w90, bleed my brakes and clutch with Motul RBF600, and a couple oil changes, first I tried using Honda dealership full synthetic oil (since I work for Honda and I can get that really cheap) and now I'm trying Mobil 1 full synthetic. I've also done a leatherique treatment to help restore the leather, and GOOD GOD WAS THAT STUFF AMAZING. I plan on writing up a DIY for it later, if one does not exist already (I haven't looked into it yet).
My plans for the car are simple for the time being. Since this is my DD, I plan on keeping it relatively stock. I've put in a nismo black aluminum shift ****, as well as 06/07 projector lens headlights. Thanks to "theretrofitsource.com", I was also able to pick up OEM ballasts and 4300k Phillips 85122 bulbs. I plan on doing an 06/07 sport exterior conversion with JDM tails, and maybe suspension parts. But unless this car suddenly becomes the weekend warrior, instead of the DD, I have no plans for an extreme build.
Stoked to have a DGM g35 coupe. Stoked to have the 6MT. Stoked to have the brembo brakes. Stoked to own my first RWD car. Stoked to own my first car with an LSD. Stoked not to have the VQ35HR (because my driving style is non-aggressive, so I prefer mid-range power). Lastly, I'm stoked to be on the boards.
My best friend drives a DGM coupe. 06/07 projectors, nismo front end w/ splitter, sideskirts and rear end, slammed, and on work gulfs. Hi Sunny! lol
Here's a picture of the car, just as I was signing the deal.
