My First G35!

Bought this 2004 coupe recently for an awesome price. Many things planned for this car but after the winter time of course.
1) Debadge, and oil change
2) A nice wash, polish, and minor body work (just needs some touch up paint and small rust spot on the wheel well lip)
3) Black out the chrome headlight housing, and clear or black side markers
4) New Rims and tires (Really want Gram Lights 57JX-6)
5) Brakes and Rotors (have another 10k on them)
6) Exhaust
7) Z-tube
8) Coilovers
9) Duckbill Trunk with 06 rear lights

Minor issue with the car, the clock does not work, I can adjust it but it just doesn't move. Does anyone know how to fix this? Car has 191,000KM

I honestly do not see what's wrong with it, just want some honest feed back. I'm kind of new with this stuff so I apologize if I did something wrong

A lot of people here understand that this car is now inexpensive enough for younger people to own, but we still enjoy the car and don't want it to turn into the next Civic or RSX, that's all. So, just for arguments sake, let's say you get rid of that grill and don't get the top speed exhaust. There are a lot of good used exhausts on this site for sale. And before we get into the whole 'its my car, I'll do what I want' thing; yes it is your car, do what you want. It is also your head, but I would hope you don't put a fedora on it.

Here's what's wrong with your op..op

8000k HIDs. HUGE NO. Just because your fav color may be blue doesn't mean your headlights and what everyone sees at night needs to be blue

Blacked out headlights. Why? So you can make your visibility even worse paired with the 8000k?

Topspeed exhaust. Pure chit from a pure chit company.

Here's what's right with your post
Basic maintenance needs
Z tube
Trunk/tails
Clear corners

Here's some questionables given a few of your other ideas

"Rims" and coilovers
Make sure here you purchase authentic quality for both. Both safety and ride comfort can and will most likely be compromised should you cheap out here.

Also regarding the clock
That may be a fuse. Don't quote me though. I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Basically, refrain from ricing the car out. Years from now you'll be glad you did -both when you either decide to keep the car or part out

Thank you guys so much, you guys just prevented me from going down the wrong path, I'm going to edit those things out. I didn't want to black out the headlights just the chrome housing of it. But I'm definitely not going to rice this car. Thanks again
