Cat back exhaust
Cat back exhaust
Looking at getting an cat back exhaust on my new g35.
Been looking around and have seen post about them and they cost around $400
but what do you have to do them to get fitted? I live in Australia and of course everything is more expensive than the U.S and i have gotten a quote about them from a dealer near by.
Cat Back Systems on this vehicle are usually custom only in 3" mild steel
around $1200 fitted is what he said.
But thinking that is a little too much of what i have read on other forums in Australia.
Anyone can give me some advice?

Well my test pipes and HKS dual exhaust cost me about $2200 and they were both brand new. Depending on what kind of exhaust your looking at $1200 doesn't seem that bad if it's a quality brand exhaust.

Exotic Speed exhaust, sounds good and well made. Or you could get a cat-back HKS exhaust and spend way more $$ for a better sound. Buying a cheap knock off system is a terrible idea...they're trash and won't last!! Buying anyone's used system is dangerous and not advised...Gary
What is out there that is remotely cheap (no $1000-2000) but is also good quality brand/exhaust? As i pretty much said in last post. I am a rookie when it comes to looking under the beast lol
I disagree with Gary about buying a used system. I bought my system used over 2 years ago and I've been loving it everyday. The private classifieds is filled with deals waiting to be had. Your problem lies in whether or not a member is willing to ship out of the country to you. Also, for a quality system YOU HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY. There is no substitute for quality. $1200 for a new quality exhaust sounds good, unless you can find a quality used one. My catback exhaust new is $1300, I found a member on the forum selling one used for $600, I took a 2 hour drive and saved $700. Later on in the week I installed it myself saving another $150-$200. This is me loving my exhaust and the money I saved.
