suppose i should be polite and say hi

Hi all,

my name is Will and I live in Hampshire in the UK. got my skyline 3 months back, its a 2003 auto coupe. have been looking at these cars for a long time. initially I wanted a R34 however the comfort and modern look of the 350gt grew on me.

at the moment I haven't done anything to the car yet other than a private plate, but the guy before me put a £1300 longlife sports exhausts and two sports cats on it which sounds great. other than that its completely standard. I initially did want to do a full frontal conversion to the G37 coupe front (bumper, lights, fenders, bonnet and grill) as its a much better looking front, but will see how money and time goes as I have a 1981 Mercedes 280 SLC that I have as a project this summer, plan is to stance it. I have purchased the Nissan GTR rear spoiler and bonnet vents to fit to my car to give it a bit more of a meaner look so will post some pics when I get that done. the other plans for the skyline im not sure on yet, definitely wheels and suspension, perhaps side skirts and new bumpers and carbon fibre detailing (I have a friend that is starting his own company making carbon fibre components/parts etc so will get him to practice on my car) and perhaps engine mods and turbocharging next year but am not sure about the latter as its got 73,000miles on the clock so don't want to go killing it off or breaking stuff just yet lol.

so far im loving it and other than the cruise control not working (got not a clue about that), the rear lights have been bodged (tail lights are the side lights, brake lights and the rear fog lights) and last but not least the rev counter is faulty.. so although no biggies i'll still have to sort out.

think that's enough blabbing for now. I look forward to getting involved a it on here hopefully.

Will

See, that's where we part company....

I think the first gen cars are much sexier than the second and third. The latter just don't have that design "edge" that the first gen did that made them so popular. Now they look like a half a dozen other Japanese cars.
