Hey guys,

Just bought a 2003.5 6mt sedan and love it so far. I posted in the mods thread, but does anyone have any suggestions so far? Thanks a lot, look forward to being a part of this community

Driving an '03 it probably has high mileage. Rather than spending $$ on mods concern yourself with your maintenance schedule! Nissan recommends all fluids/filters replaced every 30K miles, the closer you follow this schedule the longer your sedan will last without major issues! Mods? Try our Search using the words "First Mods!"

Hey Gary- thanks for responding. I also posted yesterday in the sedan mods thread, but I figured I'd introduce myself here, too. The reason I bought this car was because it only had 45K miles, so I'm going to work on replacing the rubber items like hoses and stuff first.

Actually, neither- I'm a college student. I was just in the parking lot getting a feel for the clutch (trickier than the Mazda6 I had before) and I decided to snap some pics for good measure. School buses for comparison

Sophomore year. I've wanted a G35 for awhile, although I did love my Mazda6 (Duratec 30 sucked but the handling was awesome for a FWD car). My old man had an Altima SE-R back in the day, so I love the VQ35

Haha, that's the plan! Probably gonna go around replacing old rubber bits first, but after that the first plan is probably a wheel/tire combo. Lowering the car would probably get pretty expensive

Any specific wheel/tire combos that you all would recommend? On the tire side, I need all-seasons, so I'll probably run Continental DWS or Bridgestone 970as tires. Any wheel recommendations, though? And should I go up to 18s?

Welcome! Lots of members here in the DMV. Check out National G Club on Facebook, we have meets in Tysons Corner every Monday and Rockville, MD on Thursdays. As for first mods, a 5/16" plenum spacer is the first thing you should get.

You could even go up to 19" with your setup. I run DWS on my fronts and RE970AS on my rears. Both are great.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'll look to go to those meets when I get back for school, but those are great groups to know about. I actually ran DWS on my old car, and they were particularly awesome in the rain. For tire sizes, would 19 be too rough of a ride? 18 might be a better compromise.

Finally, do you have any specific recommendations for rims? I'm looking around, but if you see anything that would look great on a silver sport package sedan, please let me know

Wow! Only 45k on the car! You barely need to do any work on it. That is low milage. I am pushing 71k for an 08 but i am now having more fun driving my car around again.
