New G35 owner from Toronto, Canada

Hey guys.. Just registered like ten mins ago no clue even as to how to start this off lol.. Bought a brand new 2014 nissan sentra SR as a family car since summers right around the corner needed a summer car. Always loved the G35/37 cars so I started spending time on these forums without actually registering must have spent at a good 40hrs in three weeks time from the time I made up my mind to buy a g35 to the actual day of purchasing it and more after.
I bought the car like four days ago its a 2004 red automatic g35 (I do a lot of driving around for work purposes) 155,000kms for $7200. Its a complete stock car other then the headlights I have no clue whether they are just black headlights with hids or complete different ones.
As part of the agreement I had the previous owner replace the radiator, front upper control arm within the price and verified with another mechanic (trust issues)

Purchase day took the car for a interior, exterior and engine detailing cost me $120. Thats when I realized the trunk would not pop open and thats why I felt very stupid for checking it beforehand or even when we took it to the mechanic smh. I think i must have spent atleast half an hour on these forums and google to look up the problem. I was praying it wasnt the harness as according to some users that would have costed me a lot of money felt like an idiot couldnt even go to sleep properly. Turns out it wasnt that but the same old wear and tear problem on the wires. Got that fixed by my friend who also fixed the passenger window my tightening as there was a little gap to it.

Changed the daytimes, side stripe, license plate, interior to leds need to get clear corner cases

Got a list of questions if you guys could help me out with:

1) Whats the mileage that you guys get out of a tank. I do a mix of both hwy/city and with this being my first tank (went all out with 94 gas (highest grade) costed me $72) I am looking at anywhere from between 375-400kms is that avg?

2) I am noticing a much stiffer ride as compared to the other cars I have driven they have only driven hondas, toyotas, nissan as a owner and various others. I find myself driving slower over cracks and we have a lot of those here in toronto, and swerving potholes/mancovers left right. Did you guys have to get used to this as well. What can I do to improve suspension?

3) I have a budget of $1500 that I wanna spend on for this year on mods. Ages old question and answered many times but I would still like your opinions keeping in mind my situation. Cold air intake does it actually consumer more gas or thats false? suspension? shocks? or exhaust as I do plan on putting one in the future... opinions on exhausts/suggestions (straight-pipe?) Eventually I want to increase my g35s power hp wise

4) Recommendation to a good mechanic shop in toronto. I have read about simone perfomance up in newmarket however I think their labor is on the pricier side any other suggestions to mechanic shops that work well on infinitis?

I am also hoping to get to know other g35 drivers in toronto/mississauga prolly go to a few meetups, get some knowledge download. This took me a while to type out jeeezz

That sounds a little on the low side if it's 50/50 mixed. If you do way more city than it makes more sense. I do majority city on about halfish a tank at a time and I get about 200km to the (halfish) tank.

2) I am noticing a much stiffer ride as compared to the other cars I have driven they have only driven hondas, toyotas, nissan as a owner and various others. For me on the sedan my suspension is a little more cushiony I believe. So i cant comment on this. But I do feel road bumps a lot more than the family minivan.

CAI, I think people just stomp on the gas more to hear the noise. But there's also the whole more air introduced into the system, more gas used argument. idk. When I dropped in my Z-tube I thought i got better mileage from it actually. Suspension is pricey, I would look into coilovers which is $1200+ for us canadians. You can also go springs but I've seen ALOT of people (Every spring guy in my car group) swapping it out later for a more aggresive setup or coilovers, in the end it's just wasting money unless you know for sure you'll be satisfied otherwise should have done it right the first time. Exhausts are also pricey as well depending on which route you want to go (catback or axleback, test pipes or ARTs), just start with picking a sound you like in the exhaust compilation thread.

Bang for your buck. 5/16th plenum spacer and HFC/test pipes would provide best gains, then you can throw on some others and a tune and you'll get a BIT more HP. If you want a real kick in the pants, FI will be needed.
