I bought my first g on Monday and so far this thing has been a blast. It is stock except maybe aftermarket cold air (stillen) I don't know what comes factory. Many mods are to be made. If I can figure out how to post pics I will do so.

Could you take a flashlight and look down where the belts are on the engine and find a row of squares (only 2 rows ) on the middle of the engine. Above the top row you will see some numbers. The numbers you should be able to see are 5 and 6 for the year of the engine. Does your engine show a 7 after the 6 or is the last number showing a 6
This would be helpful knowing what the last number is showing on a 2007 coupe's engine.
Is you car also a 6mt ?
